Mechanical properties
Universal tensile machine is an equipment that stresses materials to measure its mechanical properties. A conventional approach consist in stressing progressively the material up to its breakdown. This test may be carried out from cryogenic temperature up to maximal material temperature.

Another approach consist in stressing the same test vehicle to a fix load and to record its strain behaviour through time, we are talking about creep measurement. Alternatively, we can apply a constant strain the test vehicle to a and to record the evolution of the force necessary to maintain the strain through time, we are talking about relaxation measurement. In any case, these tests allows to predict the part behaviour in service. Moreover, these characterisation can be performed at different temperatures.
